(Anonymous) 2016-09-20 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)If you're a fan of The Wire or Breaking Bad, this should be right up your alley. And even better, you don't need to watch DD or JJ to get into it, which is why I think it'll be a hit even among non-MCU fans.
I think it's my favorite MCU title yet.
The music (hooooly shit) and cinematography are awesome.
I've never been a huge Luke Cage fan when it comes to the comics, but I am liking this version so, so much.

Good music cinematography is a huge bonus!
Same as you, I wasn't really into LC in the comics, eitrher, but that goes for JJ, too.
My main worry was not having an interesting villain as DD and JJ do, or that a "bruiser" character would be less interesting as a superhero.

The villain's not rubbish! Thank god. I did find Kilgrave more menacing, but that was mainly due to his powers.
This villain simply oozes evil tho, which is good.
