He looks old and tired, and his face looks dirty.

Ugly Anon, I hope you find whatever it is that's missing from your life so you don't need to do this anymore.

Don't worry, no matter how full my life is, no matter where I go, no matter what I do, I will ALWAYS find time to call people ugly on F!S.

It looks like normal, clean skin to me.

I missed this somehow but it looks fascinating. And I actually like it when shows/movies/characters break my heart.

Same, OP. Especially that scene when they are dancing together. "I love to Love but my baby just loves to dance." That song just makes me cry every time I hear it now.

This show made both me and my film professor bawl.

I am writing on a paper on it, and got super excited over some of the stuff he said about why he chose the role. (Like being able to play emotions in a way usually only assigned to female roles.)

Welp, now I'm interested.

Right? I know I saw it on multiple sites, but here's one: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/news/a673034/stellan-skarsgrd-i-did-bbc-ones-river-because-i-was-jealous-of-actresses/

It's funny because I thought it watching the show - that the character was definitely allowed a greater range of visible emotion than I was used to seeing from not just men but male cops - and then seeing the actor say that was why he chose it had me just flailing.

Loved that! I need to rewatch it.

You and me both anon. The scene where he and Stevie dance in the street made me sob, and just hearing that song makes me tear up now. It was a great performance in general.
