I mean with the second one it can depend who is on the other line. For example, I often don't feel like I can hang up with my grandmother until she decides the conversation is over, no matter how much I want to.

AYRT - Good point, and I do realize there's situations where you have no choice. My sister works in sales - she gets a call at four in the morning, she has to take it. But there's a difference between that and just being rude but pinning it on the person on the other line.

I mean, at the very least, if you can help it... why not just not answer the phone?
