Yeah, he had a really good balance personality-wise. He earned the respect of his team precisely BECAUSE he made it clear he cared about them both professionally and personally, and he was always supportive and willing to help them through whatever they struggled with. He treated them like individual human beings instead of just some faceless team (which is especially impressive given how many people have come and gone on the team over the years!). It's that quality that I'll definitely miss most about him, for sure, and I second your wish to see more men like this on TV.
