Drawing. You can do lots of stuff with very simple tools - a pack of semi-decent paper and graphite, or a pack of watercolor paper and a paintbrush and a bottle of black ink, or paper and charcoal. You can get beautiful results without actually investing tons of money.

Origami. All you need is paper!

Ooh yes, origami. I went through a phase where I filled my room with a bunch of simple, tiny origami pieces made from post-it notes.
