Learn to bake bread. A lot of loaves can just be baked on a cookie sheet so you don't need special pans. Knead by hand - no stand mixer required. Look for some books on bread and baking at the library and experiment with yeast (it's tricky, not gonna lie).

Maybe something like birding or the equivalent with plants and rocks. Find some guides at the library and take walks wherever you can go to see nature and see how many trees, flowers, etc. you can identify. Keep a diary or list. You can also keep a photo log if you have a camera or a phone with a camera.
