Re: Things you like and don't like about where you live

Things I like:

- I was born and grew up here, so it's home, and I have a lot of friends and family here
- the food culture is amazing and there's great food anywhere you turn; same with the drinking culture
- generally good political atmosphere and vibes
- beautiful landscape and architecture
- a pretty good openness to weirdos and lots of opportunity to pursue whatever you might like

Things I dislike:

- rent costs too much; massive issues with segregation, gentrification, affordable housing, etc
- doesn't rain nearly enough for my liking; no real seasons
- people here are too good-looking and cool and I constantly feel self-conscious and ugly
- people here are too self-assured and confident and I can't relate
- substantial, constant population churn

Northern California.

I mean, it could pretty much only be Northern CA, Southern CA, or Portland, right? Seattle rains more, and most of the rest of the country has real seasons. Maybe Austin.
