I never really understood this. I don't even think about race when shipping (probably because I started with anime which tends to be racially ambiguous because cartoons), and there are quite a few nonwhite characters in pairs I like but yeah, if I try and evaluate, white cock IS the majority in my ships, too. But tbh. I think that has less to do with not liking poc characters but with the fact that there are fewer poc characters in general AND fewer complex or gray or evil POC characters. Like, with starwars, I love stormpilot, but I'm not really interested reading fic for the obvious one and kinda more into the darker sort, BDSM, enemies to lovers, noncon, so I read mostly kylux and reylo.
same thing with, say, scrubs. yeah, turk and jd are cute and gay and so on but I'm kinda more interested in jd's daddy issues and his relationship with asshole cox or the janitor because there's more tension there. It's not the being white.
