Yay, a lazy confessions thread because I've got one!

Mesdames et mesieurs, approchez de l'action.

So whenever I'm in a situation where I meet or deal with a woman in a hijab I'm EXTRA polite and friendly. (In Europe, here.) Kinda because I think they get enough shit all the time. On the other hand I kinda feel bad because there are muslim women who do not wear hijabs and who are marginalized, too, and don't even get the public attention women wearing hijab do, and they might even be struggling within some communities *because* they're not wearing one. So... Idk, I kinda feel like I'm being unfair somehow.

If you're not aware they're Muslim then there's nothing to be done for it, yeah?

You could just try being extra polite and friendly towards all people you meet.

Pictures of babies with food on their faces squick me so much.

My parents have a picture of me like that, and my mom thinks it's adorable. Ew. No. It's not. Why didn't you wipe my face, guys?!

If you are around babies enough, it happens. If a parent wiped off their babies mouth ever time they got food around it while eating, that is all the parent would be doing while the baby ate.

Who said you have to be a slave? There is room in a healthy diet for indulgence as long as you're also remembering to get your exercise.

Technically fandom, but only by a margin. About six years ago, I was supposed to meet up with an LJ friend because I happened to be visiting her area; but when I called her, for some reason she had no idea who I even was, even though I said "this is Samantha, or MarySueGaryStu123." She insisted I had the wrong number, but I know it was her because I said her name and she said that was her. I basically gave up, and I later told her I'd tried to call her "but no one answered." So... that was the real reason.

I never did figure out what happened. My guess at the time was that she didn't "hear" my username said out loud - because that's happened to me, someone will say "Case from fandomsecrets" and it'll take me a few times to know who the heck "Case" is. And I have a very young voice, which she wouldn't know as we hadn't spoken before, so it's possible she thought I was some teenager calling for a different "Lisa." However, I've also since learned she's been having memory issues lately (she's not on my flist anymore, but I poked by her LJ), and while this was so long ago I don't think that was it, I have to wonder whether she was having issues even then, and just didn't realize. :(

Anyway, my actual confession is that I lied to her about the real reason we never got together.

I have this friend who has a habit of flirting with me whenever he's single. He's not creepy, we both know it's not really going anywhere, neither of us have expectations.

I don't think people who know me really think of me as someone who likes to be told I'm pretty.

Sometimes I really want to go all out and tell a few choice people what I think of them, consequences be damned. It's usually these times that I really wish I hade a save slot I could just use to commit all sorts of social suicide via being honest towards asshole people and then just go back and reload the save.

I would use the hell out of a save slot if such a thing was possible. I just love that idea. :)

Sometimes I check rec threads or spork threads just to see if anything of mine has made the cut.

I'm not surprised I never do though; nothing I write has ever been popular for the right or wrong reasons.

I'm terrified of peeing in the shower/lake/outdoors... anywhere other than a toilet. For some reason I've got it in my head that if I do I'll somehow instantly overwrite decades of conditioning and no longer be able to hold it at all. Like if I piss in a bush while hiking I'll just piss everywhere uncontrollably all the time for some reason.

Masturbation used to be the only thing that made me happy. Now it doesn't really do that anymore, but I still have to do it everyday just to keep myself feeling remotely stable.

(Sex makes me feel better than masturbation usually, but I rarely get to have that.)
