That Thing You Do and An American in Paris because when we were growing up those were my sister's favorite movies. I hated them.

The Hangover, my bf and a good chunk of his friends like it so when we've had movie nights with them it's a regular pick. I can't stand the movie. :|

It's a little ironic that agree with this, since I'm a LotR fan, but these days I can't stand the annoying bits in the movies.

When Mum watches them I usually put some music on to drown them out.

Something Borrowed

I hate both the lead characters, but John Krasinski is so damn charming that it's become a movie I associate with spring time & want to watch like every year.

Krasinski is the best part of the movie. I'm not big on Colin Egglesfield, the male lead. I find him so wooden & boring in everything. He's like a blackhole of charisma imo.

I remember wishing that they would film the book's sequal. It focuses on Kate Hudson's and John Krasinski's characters. When I first read it, I remember really liking it. I re-read recently and had no idea why I originally liked it.

I haven't read any of Giffin's books, but Something Borrowed is in the pile on my side table because Barnes & Noble was offering it as a bargain priced book for < 5 bucks a few months back. I'm curious to know whether I find the book any better than the movie, in terms of characterization.

LOL. The movie with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore. It's so bad, but I find myself watching it all the time.

It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story, those ones that come on every year and we just haaaave to watch them because they're classics. Just one reason I'm glad I don't live at home anymore.

P.S. I'm assuming you really mean you don't live with your parents anymore. "I don't live at home" makes it sound like you're homeless.

Highlander.

The first time I saw it I thought it was kind of a fun movie. But my friend was OBSESSED with it, and since I had a VCR and she didn't, she'd end up spending the night at my place every few weeks just so she could watch it.

Where The Dead Go To Die. Once because I heard about how godawful it was and I had to see for myself (spoiler: yes it's as awful as everyone says it is) and again because I wanted to watch it with Animat's commentary.

Drop Dead Fred. I should love this movie. The cast is amazing. But it's ugly and joyless.
