I think it depends on the character in terms of what they like. The one character I write most often is obsessed with order, and I tend to interpret him as practically OCD. So he (or whoever he is with) generally always cleans except for a few occasions where there is a specific reason why they don't. But other characters who don't care as much would probably be fine with cuddling and sleeping. There is probably noticeable fluids that feel sticky and cold, but that isn't going to bother everyone.
