lol, I was about to mention the Sherlock fandom. A few years ago, I finally left after some assholes started passing around a list of people who wrote/enjoyed rape fantasies in fanfic (I think it was also connected to some reapersun wank from a long time ago when people accused the artist of being pro-rape based on one of her comics? something like that) and accused those people of supporting real life rape because of the fic they read or wrote. In a couple of cases, people were accused of actually being rapists despite the fact that there was literally no evidence provided for this claim other than the fact that they weren't against non-con in fic. Several of the people on the list had also spoken openly in the past about being rape survivors themselves which just made the whole thing even more of a clusterfuck.

So...yeah, that pretty much marked the end of my time in the Sherlock fandom. I just couldn't handle it. And I say that as someone who's been in the Supernatural fandom since the show's been airing, so I can put up with a lot.
