A+ comment. Age really isn't a barrier to creative work. Time and money, yeah, but no more than they are to anything.

If you want to create a Tolkien-level massive world, then just do it. Draw maps, or build it in Minecraft. Sketch costume designs. Invent a language. DM a DnD campaign or start painting and collecting figures. Learn to sew and make costumes if that's your jam. Learn to do SFX makeup if that's your jam, and just do it as a hobby. Write your fucking novel. Become the eccentric that builds a massive model city in their garage. Whatever gets you off. But don't whine about how you WISH you could do cool shit if only you weren't so old.
