Do you think trying to turn a child into an animal to punish him (as Hagrid tried to with Dudley) isn't abusive or making Neville wait outside the common room while a potential murderer is on the loose as punishment isn't abusive?

Not to mention the actions of the so-called heroes like Hermione permanently scarring a girl's face or having a teacher being dragged off to be gang-raped by centaurs.

And I see no reason to believe that Snape stopped being a racist after he stopped working for Voldemort. He certainly kept acting racist by bullying Muggle kids.

There's no evidence that Snape gave a shit as he hated everyone. Neville was a pureblood and Snape targeted him the most. When the painting of Regulus called Hermione a mudblood he snapped at it and told him not use that word. And so forth.

The centaur thing is a huge reach considering they've featured as non-rapey beings in other books too, and in JKR's books I doubt she'd have Gone There.

You have a woman being dragged off by mythological creatures known for raping women and when she comes back she is visibly traumatized with no immediate physical wounds.

The problem with that is that you assume JKR's centaurs are the abusive rapist type of mythology, which they show no evidence of in any of the other books. In fact, they show more similarity with wise centaurs like Chiron, and stargazer centaurs like C.S.Lewis put in the Narnia books.
