Because only one person on the internet dislikes Klance shippers. /eyeroll

The Voltron fandom keeps getting more and and more terrible with each week and it's thanks in majority to Klance shippers. Just a few days ago there was that whole drama with artists being put on a list of "toxic blogs" for drawing The Bad Ships or for drawing someone with skin one shade too light. Now Sheith shippers are getting actual child porn sent to them. There is no way to prove whether the CP was sent to them by antis or if the claims are true at all, but one thing is certain – there is a shit-ton of negativity spread in the fandom, mostly by antis, and like 90% of the antis are Klance shippers. It's really no wonder people are starting to associate the ship and shippers with nasty things. I see people even outside of the fandom, who have never seen a single episode of Voltron, talk about all the ugly stuff that's going on.

Honestly, I'm at a point now where I'm not sure which fandom is the worst one currently: Steven Universe or Voltron. All the Voltron fandom needs to do is get someone to commit suicide or attempt it or drive several members of staff off of social media. Or both. (Though in all seriousness, that shit shouldn't be taken lightly and I hope it never happens)

I did find it incredibly funny that about a day (if not several hours) after someone in a Voltron thread on /co/ linked to that "non toxic voltron" blog the "Toxic Blog" list, the entire list was taken down completely.

Pretty sad when 4chan is the only site on the internet where you can have something of a reasonable discussion with other fans in these horrible cesspits that are certain fandoms, and from my experience, Voltron is one of them. Hell, I only ever discuss Star Wars and SU with /co/ now too, but I'm getting off topic here.

I don't think the list getting taken down has anything to do with /co/. There were several lists made like that before – I remember one with blogs who post Shiro/paladin ships that was called a "list of people who support pedophilia" – but none of them got much attention. This one was really long (the creator promised the list would be updated several times a day) and included many well known fandom artists, who then started talking about it on their twitters. The whole thing blew up and twitter was ablaze for a while with drama about the list. I think whoever made it simply got scared of all the backlash. They probably didn't expect it to garner so much attention. And it's not like the list stopped existing, they just made it private so you have to ask to be able to see it.

Voltron is worse than SU by virtue of only taking, like, a month to become a cesspool on par with SU. That has to be some kind of record.

Yeah, and it keeps getting worse. At least the Voltron fandom hasn't chased anyone from staff off twitter (yet) but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened one day. :/

They've already accused one of the creators of being a pedophile because he posted a picture with lovey-dovey looking Shiro and the caption "Shiro loves you, baby." and tagged it "he's looking at Keith". And throwing accusations like that around can be seriously damaging to a person's image, so I wouldn't be surprised if it got worse from there.
