Dunno the actor's name but the cop in Edward Scissorhands was black. I also thought it was intentional that he was the only black character because he was one of the only characters who was sympathetic and helpful to Edward the entire movie, because he'd probably know what it's like to be discriminated against based on looks and rumors.

I understand the Burton criticism overall, though, so my pointing this out isn't exactly a defense, just something I always noticed and felt was appropriate to the discussion.

nayrt - I don't know the actor's name either, but the guy did a great job with a small role. He was definitely one of the few really sympathetic characters in that film, and one of the parts of the film that I always remember
