Yeah as a trans guy not gonna lie the discourse about her is a little frustrating. It's pretty obvious she's meant to be a cis girl who disguised herself. I get being excited and thinking she was going to be trans, but like...it's time to let it go. It's become toxic (and frankly most of the people I see arguing about it are cis girls/women, like chill).

(Also, and this is just me personally but I have heard other trans guys complaining about this, I'm a little tired of the trans male characters always being headcanoned as being the super short, slight, frail (and frequently bookish/nerdy) types. A trans guy is just as capable of looking like Keith, or Lance, or even Hunk or Shiro. I know more guys who look like Shiro in build than I do guys who look like Pidge. FFS I know trans men who are considered bears in the gay community. :/ It's kind of...irritating stereotyping in my opinion.)
