I've been living here for almost 2 months now, and I can't wait to leave next week... I do love the food culture so much, but the energy and I don't get along well at all.

It feels like a very personal dislike though. I wouldn't really advertise Bangkok as a place that "omg sucks!" or anything, it's just not for me. Plus, I'm alone here (working), and my experience is pretty unique. I'd probably come back with some friends for a week or two someday, just to see how it is then.

But for now?

Yeah. Ready for you, Tokyo! 10 more daysss

Bangkok is definitely more "wild weekend with friends" than somewhere I would spend an extended amount of time, and that's coming from someone living in SEA. Also the traffic has gotten so much worse in the last few years... and it wasn't great before either.

Oh, fuck. You can say that again. I just got home after being stuck in traffic for 3 hours... it's so brutal here. Upside is, traffic doesn't even exist in my home city to me anymore lol

But yeah, the wild weekend with friends thing is accurate. And that's really not what I find most stimulating when I travel. I find partying and clubs to be the same shit around the world lol
