You're the one who sounds like the straight girl. Tops and bottoms are a thing in the gay community. Sure, many people are vers, and it's not always the yaoi seme/uke cliches, but slashfic did not invent tops/bottoms.

MTE. Maybe the OP doesn't realize this, but there are gay guys who find that they aren't sexually compatible with one another because they both prefer to top or they both prefer to bottom lol

Nothing about OP's OP suggested the last comment. And there are gay guys who don't do/feel either. Surely that's their point, that labelling as a matter of course is stereotyping?
