Not necessarily. People don't just "have" self-esteem and confidence, they develop and build it over time. Self esteem and confidence doesn't have to be based solely on whether or not people find you attractive, either. In fact, that's an extremely weak foundation for self esteem and confidence, so it's no wonder you're having difficulty.

If you're not happy with who you are, your abilities, your accomplishments, your passions, your goals in life... then why not work to change that for the better? Because I think if you were happy with all those things, you'd find that self esteem and confidence comes more naturally to you.
