What animal reproductive setups should be used in fic?

I'd be more interested in a completely fictional reproductive setup, something that seemed very alien.

Like what?

Honestly I don't know. I would be very interested in some sort of system where the female is the one who does the physical penetration, though. That would be kind of cool. Tentacle sorts of things are fun. On Babylon 5, Centaurans have 5 reproductive organs, and the idea of multiple organs interests me.

Okay, now I want to see penises and vaginas with pincers in fics. This is a thing that should happen.

I once followed a FF7 fic series that had the effects of Jenova turn certain characters (namely Sephiroth and Zack) semi-starfish-like. The writer researched starfish.

I also once read a big epic Transformers fic that gave the Cybertronians a lot more alien culture and two different forms of sex, one of which was more alien.
However between that and Cyndi's Unicron/Starscream epic, I also got the impression the TF fandom is not hugely fond of unique takes on robo-sex.

I was reading the trivia in a calendar of butterfly photos, and it mentioned that the females of one species get all their sodium from the males' semen. That has to be someone's fetish.

So you were an OUAT fan, right? There's at least one Rumplestiltskin fan out there who drew a lizard Rumple with two dicks. I'm a Rumple fan and a lot of the Rumple and Rumbelle fandom makes jokes about lizard people, but somehow I don't think the "some (all? Not up on my herpetology) lizards have two penises" thing is commonly known in the fandom because considering we also have dinosaur porn, there'd be at least a few fics that mentioned it.

Also I don't remember their names but I remember seeing some awesome shippy non smutty art for a Jedi couple where the girl was a Twilek and the guy was--I dunno, some similar alien but with more head-tentacle things.

I'm quite fond of duck reproductive setups, and actually wrote duck-hybrid non con for a hybrid-AU bingo this year. It was really fun.
