Comics

I haven't read a comic since I was a kid, but recently I've picked up Star Wars comics and also found Saga in the local bookstore, which I've enjoyed a lot.
And now I want to find more to read. Not picky about genre or rating.
Note that I'm not interested in Marvel/DC juggernauts - I don't have that much time on my hands and I'm perfectly happy with MCU and Arrowverse.

Next month Transformers: Lost Light kicks off, it is a sequel to More Than Meets The Eye, so it is probably going to be good and it is designed as a jumpng on point. It is mostly lighthearted but still incredibly tragic tales of a ragtag bunch of misfits who mostly only barely tolerate each other just bumming around the galaxy looking for adventure and some mystical knights. They are also giant transforming robots.

There is a good Godzilla miniseries right now, Rage Across Time. Basically Godzilla....uh...rages across time. He recently picked a fight with the Greek Gods and annihilated Ares, for example. It is fun.

To be honest, I've been ditching Marvel/DC myself. The latest Marvel crossover event is tiresome and more than a little misogynistic, and DC killed the only one of their books I read back in the start of summer.

There is always 2000AD, which is an anthology comic. It'll have a Judge Dredd strip and a selection of shorter stories from other writers so that might be worth checking out.

I'm going to offer up: The Lost Boys - picks up pretty much after the movie
you can read it online over here - http://readcomiconline.to/Comic/The-Lost-Boys
Also, Wacky Raceland - because the world totally needed a Mad Max/Wacky Races crossover. But strangely, it works. I mean hell, they got me liking Dick Dastardly of all people

Transmetropolitan. It's especially trippy in light of politics in the US and UK (Warren Ellis was commenting on both, basically.) It always blows my mind how prescient that thing got when it came to politics and technology.

If you're at all interested in creator-owned superhero stuff, Invincible is really great, and Irredeemable and its side comic Incorruptible are amazing deconstructions of the Superman archetype.

It's definitely not new, but Valerian and Laureline. It's a scifi bandes dessines that inluenced The Fifth Element and a feature film is in the works right now.
