I love my fandom, but sometimes I wish there were more happy fics. Like right now when what I really need is really fluffy and hurt/extreme comfort fics and all I can find is angst. It is moments like these where I miss being a multi-fandom girl. But what I really want is happy Silmarillion fics, or I'd even take happy LOTR fics. Usually I love my fandom's angst, but can't things be happy sometimes?

I keep checking in on the latest nuttery from the starter of the last round of Ao3 Is Problematic And Should Be Censored purity culture kerfuffle. It's like a trainwreck. Oracle/Nightwing is wrong and incest because they're both Batman's kids. If you defend fiction as harmless it means you're addicted to it and frantic to keep your supply. Censorship is only bad if you're censoring good things, but if you're censoring bad things then it's good, duh.

There's lots of flip flopping on they're just a mentally ill young adult they're not responsible for their actions and telling them to choose not to click on fanfic tagged with stuff they don't like is victim blaming, and they're an adult who's got a graduate degree in media studies and has written many papers, many published good papers citing many experts on why problematic fanfic ruins lives. ( all whuile typping liek ths)

I have to assume they're not just a brilliant troll because of all the time and dedication they're putting into this.
