Re: Marvel Movies vs. Marvel TV shows

This is coming from the perspective of someone who hasn't read the comics so the only impression I have of characters is through the movies or TV shows, but... I haven't been able to really get into Marvel movie villains much. Loki is somewhat saved because Hiddleston manages to flesh out his role some. Ditto Hugo Weaving and Red Skull. But Ronan, Thanos and Nebula are just sort of generic baddies to me.

As a contrast, the TV shows usually allow more character development and background for their villains, so they feel more like well rounded people rather than just generic bad guys.
