Indulging your white knighters like that, by telling them to knock it off then going all awww shucks on them when they step it up, doesn't exactly help either. Just encourages them to look for more opportunities to attack unpopular opinions. FFS, if you tell someone to knock it off either stick with that point or walk away.

CASE I LOVE YOU, and I appreciate what you do for F!S. Actually, I think about it during my days sometimes like "wow... that person who keeps this little community running just BECAUSE completely exists. And that makes me happy."
