I wish it worked better.

I probably shouldn't complain about how it looks. My geneticist said there are a few people he knows who refer to my collective group type as "the beautiful people disorders" or "model syndrome". We're (generally speaking) proportioned with longer legs, have delicate looking hands and feet, vaguely elf-like features, soft translucent skin that doesn't scar or callous easily, slightly larger eyes. We have a lot of the same movements and we tend to walk and sit in certain ways.
It's weird meeting other people with the same health problems. Like going to a family reunion and meeting cousins you didn't know you had.

Interesting - what is the disorder called, if you don't mind saying?

The larger group would be Genetic Connective Tissue Disorders. Not all of us share the exact same physical characteristics, I should probably point out. I know some types of Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Stickler Syndrome for instance can cause distinctive facial differences. Marfan Syndrome and O.I. can also cause noticeable growth difference.

A lot of us look pretty normal I guess, but just slightly off. Hard to explain. If you're interested in seeing what I mean by translucent skin and you don't mind NSFW stuff, you can google Mandy Morbid. She has EDS, and we have a lot of the same medical issues.
