Re: (Possibly TMI but) I just bought my first sex toy!

That is awesome! I am a sex toy fanatic (I own... so many) and I am glad you found one you're happy with!

My only advice would be to avoid jelly toys completely, and try and avoid TPR if you can. Jelly toys can be toxic, and TPR itself isn't toxic, but it is slightly porous and thus can absorb liquid and other germs, so you need to keep a closer eye on them and probably replace them every now and then.

Thanks for the advice! As the expert, how would you recommend cleaning my new toy? After every use, I assume, but is just water and soap good enough? Do I need to pay attention to how I store it? This is what I got, if it helps:

In general, I use an antibacterial soap (which I always have a lot of sitting around, but normal soap is fine if you don't) and water, and just be very careful not to get it in the battery compartment or anything.

Storage shouldn't be a problem! The only materials you have to be more careful about storing are porous ones, so what you are getting should be fine. Just try not to drop it, I have broken vibrators before that way. (I also used to have a loft bed though.)

Thanks so much for your help! The site itself really only advertised its own brand of wipes and other cleaning products but most things I'd read said soap and water were just fine. I'm happy to get confirmation though.

Wait, just thought of one more question: is it best if I clean it right after use, or can it wait? Obviously it'll probably be best to do it as quickly as possible, but if it does its job right I can't imagine cleaning being on anyone's mind.

Yeah a lot of sites try and sell their own special sex toy cleaners, but I've never found them necessary.

It can wait, though its very messy you can wipe it down, you know. I usually clean my toys right before use, personally.
