I did the same thing when my cat died last year. (I mean, not with Breezy specifically. I renamed Lexy.) Its very comforting, for some reason.

Lots of ppl name their pets things like "Whiskey" or "Jack Daniels" though, so why not beer?

That was my first thought, too.

That only works if beer is a single color. But it is not so.

Also I have never seen a cat yellow enough to be prototypically beer colored, but if there is that would be pretty neat.

Lagers aren't the only beers, anon. There's ales, porters, stouts...brown, dark yellow, and amber are beers colors, not just pale yellow.

I do this with pets in WoW, most of my battle pet cats are named after cats I had or knew and sometimes I go and actually tame a similar looking cat-pet on my hunter so I can run around with them forever(in a way).

I'm sorry for your loss, OP.

I actually did the same thing when my cat passed away last November. I renamed Gabriel after him because that's the cat he most resembled, and I still check the game all the time to see what 'GB' is up to. It's a small but comforting thing to do.
