Started a Buffy rewatch, and I've gotten the urge for fandom again. Not sure if there even is an active fandom anymore, and I'm less interested in shipping and more interested in character exploration stuff or horror sorts of fics. But honestly I'd really just love to talk about Buffy with people.

I always figured I missed that fandom by a loooong shot and didn't even bother seeing if it was still active. But I'm always game for talking Buffy! What episode are you on?

Still on season 1. Just finished 1x07 (Angel). I've watched it all before, but it is always fun to watch again. Just something about these characters. Buffy is so interesting to me because sometimes even in the early seasons she acts so mature you can forget how young she is. Then she acts her age and you wonder how she can handle all the pressure on her. Sarah does such a great job.

Angel!! What a great character introduction, eh? I'm always taken back by how boyish he looked in season 1. I watch the series over and over, too.

Yes, a great introduction. And I love Darla too. And yes, he does look so young that season. He aged really fast after that, but in season 1 he looked pretty young (actually looks almost close to Sarah in age).

I just marathoned (is that a verb? idk) it again recently so I am ready for this.

Yup, working on a marathon right now. Such a great show. Buffy is still in my top 5 favorite shows of all time.

Mine too! I even love the early seasons with the cheesy catch phrases and the bad 90s hair.

I'm around if you want to discuss specific episodes. I remember all of them in too much detail.
I never got into the post-season 7 comic stuff though.

Karazhan is coming back tomorrow and I cannot be more excited. I hope they keep the awesomeness of the original one.

I don't play the game, but it was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Such pretty architecture.

I've not seen the movie, but oh man. Karazhan is amazeballs. The best part is the Opera level. Basically you go up on a stage and are in one of three plays. Wizard of Oz, Romeo and Juliet, or Red Riding Hood. Red Riding Hood is probably the most iconic with 'RUN AWAY LITTLE GIRL! RUN AWAY!'

There is also one part where you have to play a huge game of chess as different classes. So much friggin fun.

In the movie, it is just Medivh's home, no games or that sort of thing. But it is so pretty the way they did it.

ugh, Karazhan. I just hate trying to solo that chess game. Why you force me to play chess, Blizzard? Can't I just skip it and advance?

And I.. honest groaned when I saw the new operas. The "Westfall Story" has to be the most ridiculous one I've read. Defias Gang vs The Fins (Murlocs)? Really? Toe Knee and Mrrgria?

Oh yeah. Soloing the chess sucks balls.

Yesssss.

I loved raiding Kara in BC and while solo-ing the chess event was a fucking ball-ache I still liked going back there for gear/pets. I just loved the entire atmosphere of the place.

I'm only sad that I'm going to miss out on its opening week since I'm busy this weekend and that's when my guild is setting up runs for it. Hopefully I'll snag a run next week sometime though.

Glenn died! I had read spoilers that said both Abraham and Glenn would die (and why) but I wasn't going to get my hopes up. But it happened and now I will actually continue to watch the show.

I've been annoyed by Glenn since he survived that stupid attack by crawling under a dumpster (and then survived being shot at by a huge machine gun). So I cheered when her got it.

Also, those weird B&W flashbacks looked really stupid.

I don't watch the show and the dumpster thing is emblematic of why, especially since that scene isn't in the comics.

I don't watch the show, but I watched last night's for Jeffery Dean Morgan. Big mistake as I had several nightmares last night. I guess this is one show I won't be watching, even for him.

Yeah, if violence is not your thing (especially gore) that is not a role you want to see him in.

I was more upset about Abraham than Glenn but I'm a sucker for a big man who has good one-liners. Plus the peace sign right before he died, aaaaahhh. I still liked Glenn and I actually don't mind a character being able to get out of situations due to luck or shenanigans, but that whole dumpster thing was dumb. And then having the "did he/didn't he" shit. Just, if he's going to be lucky, let's not pretend that he died! Just let him be lucky!

But I do love the memes that came up out of it.

I am kind of annoyed that Daryl threw a punch and that's why Glenn got tagged. I'm just like, sure, okay, but Negan should have killed Daryl and taken Glenn hostage rather than the other way around! It just seemed a little lazy.

Negan's breakdown of Rick was pretty damn heartbreaking. Carl meeting Negan's eyes and not even flinching (and being a little bit sassy) was wonderful.

It was a really rough episode. And I'm really enjoying reading the tumblr posts about how it crossed a line and was just too much, aaaaahhh. |D

Yeah, the Negan scenes were great (barring the weird flashbacks). I assume they always meant to kill Glenn but after the outcry over the finale, they decided to kill two for extra shock value.

I've no t read any posts about that but I'd love to see some. Are a lot of people saying it was "too much". Cuz Glenn's eyeball popping out was pretty amazing.

So, anybody else simultaneously heartbroken and um... impossibly turned on by Rick crying and begging and desperate?
