I need to be revising my Trick or Treat gift, because draft 1 is really pretty shit, but I ate too much dinner and now I just want to nap and/or watch TV.

Not my mistake, but a bunch of English nationalists tried to piss off the Scottish Nationalists by starting a petition to dissolve the United Kingdom and make England independent of Scotland. They did not understand that trying to annoy people that thought Scotland and England should break up by saying Scotland and England should break up might backfire a little.

By all accounts they got more Scottish Nationalists signing it than English Nationalists, and the people who lost their shit were other English people who are still pissed about the goddamn brexit.

LOOOOL, between this now and all the morons who voted pro-Brexit as a joke and then were surprised that results were taken seriously, someone needs to put out some PSAs reminding UK citizens to leave their sense of irony at home on election days.

Somebody also needs to put out some fucking PSAs for people who might be tempted to vote for Trump as a "protest vote" b/c they don't like Hilary and her evol evol ladyparts.

Spending money while I probably could have quit my job earlier if I'd saved up.

I'm alive and right now that feels like a very big mistake.

Well, yesterday I decided to eat salsa for a late dinner. Woke up with horrible heartburn. :(

...just...salsa?

I had a big lunch and a long work day (11 hours). I got home and was so exhausted that I ate some chips and salsa just standing in my kitchen. Then immediately passed out.

Corn chips or potato chips? If it were corn chips then there is your problem, not the salsa.

See a doctor, salsa should not give you heartburn unless you have something else wrong with you.

You don't know how spicy it was, and spicy things absolutely can cause heartburn without having some underlying medical issue.

this. if you literally never get heartburn from eating spicy food, then I want to switch bodies with you. I don't get it often, but it happens.

Spicy food is a common heartburn trigger? I've never gotten heartburn from it before. I think it was just because I immediately went to bed.

Yes, spicy food is a common heartburn trigger, along with immediately going to bed/lying down. Drinking baking soda and water helps, if you don't have any heartburn meds lying around.

I bought a costume for a Halloween party I'm now not going to. The shirt was nice so I'll use it again, but it isn't like I have much use for suspenders outside a costume.

A friend volunteered to beta a fic for me, so I sent it to them. Their general story notes on pacing and whatnot were excellent, but...

I'm pretty sure the editing they did isn't all correct.

Yeah I use a lot of commas. But I'm fairly sure. From what I remember of English class at least. That you can't just replace them with periods.

There's also some pretty big problems where sentences or sentence halves are just gone and the resulting paragraphs don't make sense any more. For example one thing. If it's my fault or if they did it on purpose.

Now I'm torn between going through and fixing everything they fixed because that'll make me examine the text more closely and critically, or saying screw it and just pulling up the older version.
