A friend volunteered to beta a fic for me, so I sent it to them. Their general story notes on pacing and whatnot were excellent, but...

I'm pretty sure the editing they did isn't all correct.

Yeah I use a lot of commas. But I'm fairly sure. From what I remember of English class at least. That you can't just replace them with periods.

There's also some pretty big problems where sentences or sentence halves are just gone and the resulting paragraphs don't make sense any more. For example one thing. If it's my fault or if they did it on purpose.

Now I'm torn between going through and fixing everything they fixed because that'll make me examine the text more closely and critically, or saying screw it and just pulling up the older version.
