I got back into The Old Republic because of the new expansion, and because I suddenly had this motivation to plow my Bounty Hunter through all the post-game material, just so I could continue my romance with Torian Cadera (because Johnny Yong Bosch, lmao).

I'm also looking forward to Skyrim Remastered, and I'm ready to pop it into the GameFly queue. I'd buy it, but ah... I have a trip coming up next month and I need to save my pennies, lmao.

I wanted to finish all the newer stuff on my BH, but since they shoved Gault's Ex back into teh game for...dumbass reasons, it really soured me to the class as a whole...

*will forever be salty that she can't romance Gault*

Yeah, as honestly funny as it could be at times, Chapter 13 was railroad-y for a lot of reasons. Given how harshly Hylo spoke of Gault at every opportunity she'd got pre-Ch. 13, I think it was really stupid they paired them back together again. Plus, I platonically/friendship*ship Hylo and Admiral Aygo, so I was a little sour afterward the first time through with my Smuggler.

The reason I was just so...SALTY over that was because I fell SO HARD for Gault. Not to shit on people who like Torian, but I found him to be boring. He was so young!! And with how the F!BH sounds, she sounds like she's in her 30s, maybe even a tad older.

That and I never played a truly honorable, goody two-shoes BH. Sure, she had her limits with some of her targets, but she usually took the greedy route, which, after getting Gault, made them the PERFECT DUO.

Then there's the fact that some of Gault's conversations were BEGGING for some flirting. That Lucrative Opportunity one (or whatever it was called)? RIPE FOR A POSSIBLE EARLY FUN ROMP. Or some really suggestive flirts.

Then, we get a half-assed three conversations about Hylo at the end of his storyline and...well, I for one wouldn't have trusted her sudden contacting him. Cause she was just released from Belsavis after having been completely ABANDONED by him years ago and she is rightfully PISSED. Pissed enough to probably try and kill him and I wouldn't even blame her. So the about face on wanting to get back together was just...no. It was out of left field and I HATED IT.

....sorry, I just have a lot of FEELINGS about the BH and Gault....

Haha, that's part of the reason why I chose Torian (I... have a thing for age gap romances where the older person is a woman, and I've put my BH at about 30-35), but yeah, I could see where it'd be off-putting. Doesn't hurt/help that Johnny Yong Bosch, who just turned 40 this year, still sounds like a young twentysomething.

Having finished Chapter 13 with my BH tonight, I kind of now view Hylo's about face is because she knew she was going to get back the money Gault stole from her (and a little more), so she was willing to let water go under the bridge (or as much as she would with him) and whatnot. Maybe something happened during the 5 year gap that we never see, I dunno.

That said, I'm so glad there wasn't any UST between him and Vette like I initially suspected. Even though Vette is much older at that point, the thought of Gault/Vette was such a NoTP for me, lmao.

If you have the original version on PC you get Remastered for free. Might actually be cheaper that way.
