The past couple weeks have been so insanely stressful and shitty and I really need to go grocery shopping because I'm out of food (as well as a few essential non-food things), but I have all this anxiety and it's making me not even want to leave the house. If I don't go tonight I'll have to go tomorrow, and will continue to have anxiety about it until I actually do it, so I probably should go tonight, but it always makes me nervous going this late, and just...blah.

Anyone else need to complain/rant/vent about something?

I hate popcorn, I always get a piece of kernel stuck between my teeth and gum that is a nightmare to get out. It means that it doesn't matter if it is sweet popcorn or salt popcorn, it all just tastes like blood.

Also popcorn is meh, I still eat the damn stuff at movies though because I am weak.

I'm just tired and ready for the weekend. A kid at work threw up today, another kid decided to fingerprint the bathroom with their poo, and yet another kid had explosive diarrhea.

I have this mini language class I teach and the lady in charge keeps on wanting me to play word bingo with the kids. DO KIDS EVEN LIKE BINGO??? WAS I THE ONLY ONE WHO FOUND IT A STUPID AND POINTLESS GAME? WHY CAN'T WE PLAY INTELLIGENT WORD GAMES, HOLY SHIT.

I.. liked bingo as a little kid. Of course, my school held actual bingo (not word bingo) games with prizes like candy and toys instead of money, though.

One of the few things I liked about going to a Catholic school. :)

I had an anxiety attack this morning so severe I almost thought about calling for an ambulance for a voluntary 48 hour admission and observation. I haven't had one that severe for a very long time.

I whined a little upthread but work is sooo long. I work at a non-profit, I have a job that's paid as entry level but still requires a master's degree plus experience in the field, and I'm exempt. I never leave at five. I'm still a relatively new employee so I'm really trying to do my best and show that I am not afraid to put in the work, but my salary is practically unlivable in this city and I don't get overtime pay. bleh. I actually like the job and I love the field I'm in, and if nothing else, I know this is a great stepping stone job into something else. But I need this experience (and a good reference) before I can move on.

This is my first salaried job though and fuck it.

No complaint today, OP, but I wanted to say I definitely feel you. The only reason I did my shopping today was because I had to boot my butt out of my apartment for an hour while they checked the alarm system (strobes bring on seizures for me).

So I've definitely been there.

After spending a lot of money on buying vibrators and experimenting with myself etc I discovered that the best way for me to have a blown mind orgasm is with just my fingers on my clit or taking it slowly with a dildo. The vibration setting really don't work on me and I'm sorely disappointed.

I'm used to feeling overworked and discouraged at the midpoint of the semester, but I am in an academic situation right now where I just want to kill/hurt myself.

I'm just sick of health issues. Finally get over my sinus infection, thought I was doing fine. The I got a migraine today. Bleh. Also, all the early bar study stuff is for the MBE, which I don't have to take. I wish they had some state-specific stuff that I could study. I want to feel productive and I want to be ready to take the exam in February.

On Wednesday I found out both that my cat has diabetes and that I've been rejected for disability yet again. I've already filed my appeal and spoken to my attorney, but I'm so very fucking frustrated with the whole process.

I want to finish out this semester, and if I want to get into my grad school of choice I need a 4.0. Not only am I not doing A work this semester, I still have incompletes from last semester to finish. And mom has been in the hospital most of this week, which should've been a break and sort of is, but mostly I slept in hospital chairs and went to school straight from the hospital so I only went home yesterday and now I have work all weekend. And mom's brother keeps asking me about her prognosis and palliative/hospice care, and mom called today asking for me to bring her clothes even though she can't wear them because she's incontinent and shits herself, and I just want to relax for like, a day. I want to do my own laundry and have a shower and read a book and fix one of my costumes to wear for Halloween and plant a garden, and then take a day to do nothing. No schoolwork, none of mom's bills or paperwork, nothing. But the world keeps throwing shit at me until I feel like free time is a myth up there with dragons. Someone send me a dragon, please, it would almost make having no time for myself worth it.

Halloween is far and away the busiest time of year at my work, and because there are lines (there's usually only 3-5 of us working at any given time because labor keeps fucking us), people are way more hostile than usual too, so this is...a rough time right now. I'm not the drinky type, but I keep wanting to just haul ass out of my shift to the nearest bar and drink myself stupid just to shake off some of the feelings this shit leaves me with.

Doesn't help that my knee's being fucky right now.

Why does Sucralose, or other kinds of artificial sweeteners, have to be in EVERYTHING?

Like, for instance, yesterday I bought a bottle of Mango Flavored Mountain Dew. I took one sip and went "Wait...sucralose?" and looked at the ingredients. Sure enough, there it was.

Label that shit Diet if you want to cram shit like that in it. Better yet, take it out entirely. You don't need High Fructose Corn Syrup/Sugar AND sweeteners. Other sodas and drinks work just fine with plain old sugar/Corn Syrup in it.

I'm tempted to write to each company that does that and complain about it, but it'll do nothing but waste my time.

Could have used this yesterday. I was in a snit about not getting to hire the employee I wanted (another team wanted her and the back up!)

But I think my boss negotiated for me ☺️ I hope the employee accepts the offer and likes our workplace
