TBH the thing that bugs me most about TS is their bizarre belief that anytime before 1999 was the fucking stone ages. In a fairly recent episode, they appeared to think it was impressive/rare that somebody would live to age 60...in 1919.

More like modern medicine advancements are the only reason people are living longer. Technology and medicine increase lifespan which certainly wasn't available in 1919.

Yeah...but...living to age 60 in 1919 was absolutely not a big deal.

Modern medicine has increased lifespan, but there were still people who lived past the age of 60 in 1919. Fewer of them than now, yes, but they weren't that rare.

Yeah. Sometimes their ignorance about history is kind of embarrassing. :(
