God yes, that last one though. I get so tired of people ranting about needing to see more grim dark stuff in fiction/video games/what have you.

Yes to the last two in particular. The "sheeple" one often tends to coincide with people who are like, "I think both parties suck" and act like they're oh so independent in their thinking and think they're being novel with their "above it all" BS. Yes, both major parties have their problems. Yes, there's plenty of people whose political opinions can be a mix of liberal and conservative, depending on the issues. That doesn't make people who fit into either or both of those categories somehow special.

And I saw a lot of the "grim/dark = more mature/intelligent" attitude after last Sunday's "Walking Dead" premiere. I haven't seen any of that show myself, so I've no personal opinion on the violent content, but I saw a lot of comments online from people mocking those who were uncomfortable with that episode, saying things like, "LOL you can't handle the violence go watch Spongebob" and calling them "pussies" and whatnot, to the point where I kinda wanted to reach through the screen and smack those people for being so obnoxious.

People who have to point out how high or drunk they are. We get it, you are a wild and crazy kid.

Yup. This includes the late night anon who posts about how they drunk they are in the gc.

Yes.

Agreed. I remember some comedian commenting on that one time, saying something to the effect of, "I think pot should be legalized just so pot smokers can find something else to talk about for once."

Anyone who ends a sentence with 'just my opinion'. It's usually older women, I notice, as if they were always shouted down in their youth and have to reassure us that they're not trying to start a fight. It's okay. Go ahead and stand for something.

And people who see a dissenting opinion as an attack.

I've been getting equally frustrated at people who expect me to see a dissenting opinion as an attack. I know one person especially who tends to talk in this kind of wary, placating tone when he disagrees with me on something. I don't know what he's afraid I'm going to do. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me.

When people start defending a clearly antagonistic character as actually a good guy and totally justified in his actions. (Can be female character, but usually is a dude)

Yes. If a character is a villain, enjoy them for who they are. Villains are awesome. You don't have to justify them in order to be okay liking them. Liking villains is perfectly fine.

FUCKING THIS. I just saw something on Tumblr defending the actions of a villain and how he's really 'not a bad guy' and my eyes nearly rolled out of my face.

So much this.

People who belong to any ideological/political etc. group who always assume someone who doesn't share their opinions 100% is clearly a firm believer in whatever their ideological opposition is.

The same group of people: When they keep dismissing arguments based on certain criteria, but then use the exact type of arguments themselves.

And when they think their POV and behaviour is so superior but the second someone doesn't agree with them, they resort to petty namecalling. Not the right way to get taken seriously.

That first one annoys me. I keep wanting to go "it's not that I think they're right, I just think you're wrong".

Anything that is talking for the sake of talking. Small talk, anything time wasting of that sort lol

People who talk dramatically and angrily about SJWs!!!!! and "political correctness gone MADDDDD!" As if there is no greater problem in the world than their feelings being hurt because they can't say the n-word. (Obviously not "all" people who don't like "political correctness" are just vaguely-closeted racists, but they seem to be very thin-skinned and don't want to hear any other experiences or opinions. Like, yes, we get it, you will explode if anyone talks about racism or privledges white people have. Calm down, Carl.

People who equate religiousness with conservative, anti-science attitudes.

When people post exceptionally vague opener lines and then when people agree add in a 'gotcha' specific.

"Don't you think deliberately withholding food from hungry people is wrong?" "...yes?" "Right! So my neighbors were the obviously the unreasonable ones when they caught me eating their dog's freshly left turds and called the cops."
