You said you're feeling humiliated, but chances are the rest of the fandom has not noticed. Let the sad feelings past, it is normal to be disappointed :(
How have you been advertising your novel? Beyond twitter. Have you tagged all the genres it falls in? A nice summary + cover? Start promo-ing the hell of it across communities that might be interesting. Just the link, the title, the blurb/description.
It is much harder to garner interest in original work in fandoms. While they might enjoy your fanfic style they quite simply might not want to move out of the fandom circle. It's okay, no reason you can't start plugging it outside of there.
Goodreads, themed big name tumblrs (i.e. if it's a strong woman story ask fuckyeahwomenwarriors or something, multicultural - medievalpoc), instagram, Pinterest, bookclubs, share an excerpt in places, put it in your signature in forums that allow it, ask your fandom friends to review it on whatever platforum it's available on etc
edit: forgot wattpad.com it's a great place to plug your works
please please keep all your feelings secret, as trying to guilt people (it can unfortunately be taken as that so...just do your best to try not to leak it out and keep everything ""professional"") into buying them might work for a couple of people but will turn more people off than get you buyers.
good luck! and keep writing, if it's what you enjoy.

(Anonymous) 2016-10-31 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)May be you should order a couple of nice artistic banners or illustrations for some juicy moments of the story and post them in your blog(s) to make ppl interested?
Also (as one of my pal who's published dozens of novels on Amazon) may be you should write *I give free copies for a honest review* - this works, I've seen people even write such honest reviews on the Good Reads etc.
Also - if you are sure your book is good written may be you should rise the price! What if readers who doesn't know you from fandom are thinking low price could mean low quality??
Good luck!
