This is old, but I always thought it was weird that Harry/Hermione was "Pumpkin Pie." For years I actually thought it was Harry/Ginny or Ron/Hermione! (Because Ginny and Ron are ginger.)

Because they had a "moment" in the Pumpkin Patch during Prisoner of Azkaban? DOn't ask me more, I never understood why it was supposed to be important.

It was from an old story where Hermione kissed Harry and thought he tasted like Pumpkin Pie.

Okay, ew. Unless you've been eating pumpkin pie, you shouldn't taste like that. WTH.

All the Potter shipnames are bizarre.

I pretty much hate *all* the ship names. I use a damn slash, like the Goddess intended! :)

A one time I recall hearing of a whole catalogue of names that were all "The Good Ship [...]" (in this case "The Good Ship Pumpkin Pie").

The problem is some of them, including Pumpkin Pie, call upon obscure fandom ideas and in-jokes that I presume came up on forums that I was never a part of. At least things like the Snape ship names (Snarry, Snack, Snucius, Snupin) were simple name smushes.
