I love namesmushes, honestly. The stupider the better. My favorites are Snotacon and Clotiris, with an honorable mention going to Katpee.

Descriptive pairing names (like the abovementioned Pumpkin Pie) I find make no sense half the time, and the other half they're genius. I want to give a medal to whoever came up with calling Tony/Steve/Bruce "Stark Spangled Banner".

_____shipping names are just silly.

Star Spangled Banner is my favorite and I don't even ship them.

"Stark Spangled Banner" sounds hilarious.

On that note, a descriptive name is good if it is obvious what the parts are.

I do know at one point (over 10 years ago mind you), the "[...]shipping" names were a thing in the Pokemon fandom, but from what I recall about what I heard back then (and I was never in the Pokemon fandom, so I heard it secondhand), they could be as obscure as the descriptive names like Pumpkin Pie.
