That makes sense in some circumstances, but it doesn't seem like it makes sense in all circumstances? Like... in kids' movies or TV, does that make sense?

And it also doesn't really justify why it seems as one-sided, in terms of practicality versus sex appeal, as it does. Why there's a lot more of stuff that makes women hot than there is vice-versa.

Yeah it seems unnecessary? Like they just assigned the job to the same guy who's being doing it for 40 years and he thought it looked great.
I don't know if that's exactly how the industry works, but I do hear the only way to get movie/tv production work is by knowing people which might discourage diversity. I'd bet a lot of the tired shit we see over and over in media is just because nobody in charge had a strong opinion about it.

Meh, the impression I got from the trailer about how their Ranger uniforms appear on them, I can give the boobs a pass, unlike plate armour. The shoes? Well like someone else said, at least it isn't stilettos.

Those heels actually look completely practical to me. They're not stilettos, and I wear boots with heels about that height almost every day in the winter. They're comfortable and easy to move around in, so I really don't see the complaint here.

I was curios, saw the trailer and holy shit it just looks bad and has every cliche under the sun. We'll see how it does on theaters, but if they where gonna do a Power Rangers reboot might as well have done a campy TV series.

I'm not as bothered by the boob armor as I am by the heels. Wedge or not, those look like a twisted ankle waiting to happen, with the amount of acrobatics these guys usually do.

Also, the movie doesn't look so great, from the trailers I saw.

There are so many things wrong with those outfits that the heels and tits are just the tip of the iceberg for me. All the colors blend together to make the whole figure one humanoid Michael-Bay-Transformer blob (esp. Blue and Black - as the subtlest colors they blend into themselves and into the background) YET the suits are simultaneously super busy, the lips on the helmets (esp. on Pink) make me uncomfortable and something about the proportions of the visor is really fucking with my perception of the proportions of their heads (again, esp. Pink), omitting the belts but keeping the buckles makes everyone look like they have glowing umbilical hernias, what even are the weird-ass stripes on the sides (fake lats in the wrong place?? crotch attention arrows?!?) and why does no one have a goddamn weapon had they not decided on who was fighting with what or did they want to keep it a surprise or did they run out of promo CG funding

*deep breaths* I have FEELINGS about this franchise, dammif.
