I don't know what you have in mind as a better tactical alternative to winning support. I do think that, tactically, we could spend years and years and years trying to be as respectful as possible and hoping that people see how nice we're being and vote us into office, and it would never fucking happen. Jesus Christ, man, you think American politics runs on civility? After that presidential campaign?

Maybe instead of trying to win support, you could for once try listening and seeking to understand. But you won't.

Would you share your thesis about what Democrats need to understand, or are you just going to drop cryptic hints about how much smarter you are

I'm not smart. I'm exhausted. Fuck it.

I'm sorry you're exhausted. A lot of us are. It's still frustrating to hear you talking about how protesting is obviously wrong for an obvious reason that Democrats refuse to understand, and which unfortunately it's just impossible to come out and say.

What have you guys been doing for the past year? Have you been protesting? How has that worked out for you?

We've been protesting about police violence. But I don't think that the fact we're protesting is the reason why people haven't come around on that one.

WTF? No, I'm talking about all the protesting the left has been doing about Trump all year. The more you protested, the louder and more obnoxious and unyielding you were, the more you drove people to his side. How can you not see this??

But please, go ahead and protest some more. Protest the whole next 4 years. And we will get 4 more.

I keep this claim that Democrats are at fault and just too close-minded about voting for some rapist potato and I do have to wonder why do you think the Republicans didn't drive people to Hillary, are you genuinely saying Trump supporters were more civilised and rational?

Yes, I am genuinely saying that Trump supporters did not get together and block roads, burn American flags, or slap police horses. Never once did I hear a report of Trump supporters going to a Hillary rally to pick fights. Of course, the RNC wasn't paying them to.

Being open-minded or close-minded about voting for Trump has nothing to do with it. What I am saying is that YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER THAT YOUR TACTICS DROVE PEOPLE TO HIM SO THIS SHIT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN.
