Saying they're 'basically for children' and that makes you embarrassed is kinda silly. Who cares? How many people in fandom are over forty and happily into all kinds of 'kids' stuff? I re-read my favorite kids books all the time, (Secret Garden, the Laura Ingalls books, Black and Blue Magic, etc.) because they're *good stories* and they make me happen.

Just enjoy what you like and quit worrying about how some random 'other' may or may not judge you.
