I've not read the comics, but I adore the show. Tom Ellis really is fantastic, as is pretty much the entire cast (the most recent episode proved that the actress who plays Chloe is quite a terrible actor, but I still like her). It's such an easy, enjoyable show to watch.

DA Lauren German really stood out to me as the worst in that episode. The whole episode felt very unbalanced to me, like they wanted to mix some levity in with all the heavy shit about her dad's murder but had no idea how to do it. I was surprised to learn so many people loved the episode because it was just so uneven and made me cringe so many times.

The stuff with Lucifer and Det. Douche, and Maze and the therapist, was so good though. It outweighed the kinda lightweight stuff with her dad's killer.
