This is something that bothers me about Broadway in general, like I get it, watching the live musical is always best, but why can we not make high quality videos of the original casts for people who can't see the performances?

Like it just feels very elitist, not everyone is in New York and not everyone can afford the show prices. I am fine with seeing tours (when I have the money) but I can't tell you how much I'd love to have good quality recordings of the original casts of my favorite musicals.
