I'm still undecided. I loved the books and I also loved the film, although they're really different. One thing I think Carrey (and the director, writer etc) got "wrong" was that they made Olaf far more comedic than he ever was in the books. He was sinister in the books. So I hope NPH brings more of that.

NPH's makeup looks weird to me but I guess I can get used to that. Carrey LOOKED perfect, I thought. Something about the nose.

as someone who's read the books, these are exactly my feelings on it. jim carrey was great in the film - he just wasn't count olaf. more like the snl parody of him.
