Fighting = hot = the one you are meant to be with.

I am all for a hate fuck but there are a lot of movies (and tv shows) that have couples that are downright cruel to each other as end game. I have trouble rooting for couples that I don't believe could make it IRL.

This also relates to opposites attract and any other romance tropes where the couple is actually really incompatible.
