As I recall from the Harry Potter books, Hermoine had big buckteeth, but in one of the books she like... gets her teeth damaged/bewitched or something and so the magic-dentist reduced them to a normal size when they were being fixed. so the character essentially had cosmetic surgery in the books. lol

they were! and they were against her having her teeth shrunk and insisted on her wearing braces instead. (but, after getting cursed with something that made her teeth grow at a horrifying pace, she had to get them shrunk by the school nurse and just went that teeny tiny bit extra.)

Yeah but they wanted her to stick to muggle methods that weren't doing much for Hermione because they didn't trust mixing magic and teeth. She went around them to fix her teeth through Madame Pomfrey.
