I've never really seen any of this wank, and I'm glad of it. But FWIW I thought the whole aesthetic of the last four movies was bland, airless and overly pretty.

Oh my God no! You didn't love the aesthetic of Half-Blood Prince? Seriously? I wasn't crazy about the screenplay (leaving Merope's story out of that screenplay was tragic) but I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED the haunting, sad look/feel of that movie. Hermione and Harry having that discussion as Ron is hooking up with Lavender? "It feels like this." Harry and Dumbledor in the cave? The actual conversation between Slugsy and Tom Riddle? "It'll be our little secret." Amazing.
