The pointernational isn't whether or not they care, but that they have access and it isn't anonymous. If one of those people happened to be nosy, they'd know, and not everyone is comfortable with having that on their public record, so to speak.

Except it wouldn't be on their public record? If anything it would be speculation on most of these parties parts - and saying "hey I delivered a package to this person and I am like PRETTY SURE ITS A DILDO" does absolutely nothing to me, a lover of dildos. You aren't (as the anon claims above) being put on any type of dildo watchlist.

The preseident-elect of the United States has expressed his intention to make members of a minority religion register. I think "Oh noes I am on the Dildo Watchlist" is a little low on my list of concerns.

(I'm an atheist, so that would destroy any chances of running for public office long before any sex-toy purchases would.)

That's really only an issue if you live in such a small community that your mail carrier or a person at your bank who has access to your records knows you personally, and that's assuming they would even look/pay attention. Also, if it's a package delivery service that delivers the sex toy and not the local mail carrier, then you might have a delivery driver who lives far away and doesn't know you.

My primary credit card is through a credit union based in a big city where I haven't lived in about 15 years. Everything is run by computer and human eyes are not going to comb through my credit card expenses line by line unless there is a problem/reason to do so, because there must be thousands of credit accounts at that credit union. Even if someone did go back over my expenses, they don't know me. I am just a name and billing address.

If anyone tried to cause trouble for me for buying a dildo, I'd report them and they'd get fired. Meanwhile, I would have done nothing illegal, would not get arrested or put on a sex offender registry, I would not lose my job (my boss would laugh her ass off), I would not lose my apartment (my landlady wouldn't care and neither would my neighbors in my building - two other single women and a young couple), and while my parents would be like "WE REALLY DIDN'T NEED TO KNOW" they won't be shunned by their friends or too ashamed to leave the house.
