I'm rewatching this and yeah it is a little juvenile but hey, the show was for children all the time, so I give it a pass.


I am appreciating Sokka more though. Aang not so much.

My biggest problem with Aang is that everything comes way too easily for him, his heroes journey felt super hollow because he picks up on powers super fast and only seems to struggle at the very end of the series (and that's not a power thing but a moral thing.)

He's a cute character but I felt like the show failed to give him real growth.
