For those of you who aren't old farts like me, this was a live-action kids show in the 1970s about a family of Neanderthal cave people and their day-to-day lives and struggle for survival. It was narrated by Burgess Meredith, was only on for a season (19 episodes), was educational/based on what was known scientifically about Neanderthal folk at the time, and I loved it.

I remember it. It was on at the same time as Land of the Lost and another caveman show I can't remember the name of.
